Summary of the project

The overall objective of the 12-month action is to increase capacities of the local authority and local community of Bela Palanka to improve service delivery and stimulate local development in the priority sectors. Programme/Project objectives

Simultaneously to the efforts of our country to score the maximum in the process of the European integrations, The Municipality of Bela Palanka is working relentlessly to catch up with the modern local governments in the European Union and be competitive in service provision to citizens and offering its resources to SMEs, entrepreneurs, agricultural producers and potential investors. Therefore, it is a prerequisite to invest incessantly into the development of human potential of the municipality, but maybe even more importantly – into the development of the service providers in these communities.

The overall objective of the action is to increase capacities of the local authority and local community of Bela Palanka to improve service delivery and stimulate local development in the priority sectors.

Specific objectives

  1. Enhance human and technical capacities of local administration and community of Bela Palanka in the area of good governance, municipal management and service delivery, through organizing and building the capacities of the Unit for Development.
  2. Increase the quality of life at the local level through stimulating local economic development and supporting participation of key stakeholders in implementation of the Strategy for Local Sustainable Development of the Municipality.
