Summary of the project:
* New plan for developing the existing GIS for better support of other municipal services
*New visualisation options opened for the citizens to have better access on municipal spatial data
*New and extended municipal registries with automatic links to ensure better coverage of data in GIS for Zvezdara employees
*Improved administrative procedures and increased capacity of the municipality to make decisions on the requests of the citizen and enterprises
*Strategy for developing the GIS for supporting other municipal services in Palilula and Stari Grad municipality
*Better awareness among all Belgrade municipalities on how to develop GIS for better service delivery.
Main goal of the project is improvement and extension of existing spatial registries in Zvezdara municipality for quicker and more transparent municipal services. greater efficiency of municipal employees, connectivity with other city institutions who possess spatial data regardless of data format and GIS software used in these institutions, and beter services to citizens.
Specific objective is to enable municipal employees to have better access to spatial data through Geoportal server. All spatial registries will be implemented in new format and will be accessible through intranet. Data from other city and republic institutions will also be implemented in Geoportal. Application for collection and transfer of data collected on the field by GPS devices will be also developed and integrated in this GIS solution. For Zvezdara citizens, Web-GIS solution will be made available on Internet with all public spatial data implemented. That soluion will have, instead of existing GoogleEarth solution, Orto-photo image as background, and advanced search functions (by street and house number), network of underground instalations etc.
