Zemun Belgrade city municipality on the right bank of the Danube.
The project”Zemun on Danube” is based on the following needs and challenges:
Tourism in Zemun lacks coordination and joining of efforts.
All tourism providers are left to individual initiative in marketing, development of their services and other segments of their operations. In the past there has not been a systematic approach to tourism development.
Despite its potentials for development of tourism Zemun has not established TIC (tourism information centre), where information related to all aspects of tourism offer would be available at one spot. This practically means that tourists coming to Zemun cannot find any information related to tourism and they feel somewhat lost. A modern TIC, with trained staff and all promotional materials available is absolute necessity.
The implementation of project will improve quality of tourism offer of Zemun and make the town more ‘’lively’’. Increased number of cultural events, better overall quality will positively influence both tourists and the local population.
