Expected results

1. Increased level of education of NGO coalition in the field of gender issue and gender aspect of monitoring conditions in prisons;

2. Increased level of education of NGO coalition in the field of the procedures which enable implementation of right to adequate medical care of prisoners on hunger strike;

3. Increased level of education of NGO coalition in the field of appropriate advocacy and presentation of sub-legal acts to competent institutions;

4. Increased level of (NGOs` coalition) experience in process of prison system reform implementation; 

5. To have the reduction of corruption in prisons contributed;

6. Improved situation of prisoners during hunger strike;

7.Legal aid in disciplinary procedures provided to prisoners, potential victims of torture and ill treatment; 

8. Some of preconditions for equality of female prisoners in the system of execution of prison sanctions established;

9. Increased level of public sensibility for prisoners` rights.

Programme/Project objectives

Overall objectives:

1.To increase competences (level of knowledge, skills and experience) of NGOs (Coalition for the prison reform) in the field of prison system reform

 

2. To increase cohesion among NGOs working in different fields;

3. To contribute to the prison reform;

Specific objectives:

1.To increase level of education and skills of NGOs, members of coalition in the field of: gender aspect of conditions of detention; about the procedures that enable implementation of rights to a proper medical care of the prisoners on hunger strike, adequate advocacy for and presentation of sub-legal acts to competent institutions. 

2. To increase level of (NGOs` coalition) experience in process of prison system reform implementation;

3. To contribute to the reduction in the level of corruption in prisons;

4.To improve situation of prisoners during hunger strike

5.To provide legal aid to prisoners, potential victims of torture and ill treatment, in disciplinary procedures

6. To establish some of preconditions for equality of female prisoners in the system of execution of prison sanctions

7. To increase the sensibility of widest public regarding prisoners` rights
