  1. Public institutions integrate gender sensitive approach and perspective in decision-making, and gender sensitive policies and practices become an integral part of local public institutions’ and media’s work (SO 1)
  2. Budget lines assigned for implementation of European Charter on Gender Equality and/or Local Actions Plans for women in Novi Pazar, Sjenica and Tutin (SO 2)
  3. Novi Pazar, Sjenica and Tutin sign a joint Declaration of Support to Gender Equality and participation of women in public sphere (SO 2)
  4. Issue of and information about gender equality and participation of women are publicly discussed, widely disseminated and accessible to the general public (SO 3)

The overall objective of the action is to advance the role of women in political processes on local level in Serbian region of Sandzak.

Specific objectives

  1. Advance implementation of existing gender equality mechanisms in local governments, public institutions, and media,
  2. Raise participation of women in the public and political life in 3 local communities
  3. Increase public awareness of women's rights and gender equality in the region
