  1. Community priorities defined through public budgets and incorporated in the annual budget law  in 10 local self-governments;
  2. Public budget custom made model adopted by participating local self-governments as regular part of municipal budget process;
  3. Public participation and continuous monitoring of public finances enabled in web environment;
  4. General public raised awareness on importance to actively participate in the municipal budget process.

Summary of the project

The action addresses the lack of transparency and public participation in public finances management, which is shaping the community’s development. By introducing the practice of public participation in the decision-making and monitoring, the project seeks to strengthen the role that the media, civil society, businesses and citizens (including vulnerable groups) play in the democratic process.
