Expected results
  1. During this project, more than 2000 young people from 12 cities in Serbia were united in their differences at the local level
  2. Creative cultural packages were developed by youth from 12 local communities (Districts of North Bač, Pčinja, Ras, Pirot, Morava Valley and Belgrade City)
  3. Theatre play „HGW – The House of The Great War (in Serbian: „KVR – Kuća velikog rata“) is created under the project.
Beneficiary

Young people from different ethnic communities; Local Youth Offices and Local Youth Clubs; Educational institutions (primary and secondary schools); Policy makers and institutions at the local and national levels; Residents of cities and municipalities in which the proposed action will be implemented and the population of the Republic of Serbia in general.

Summary of the project

The project involves youth from various ethnic communities in workshops creating cultural products, reflecting their ethnic identity, and presenting themselves to others in the form of introspection. They also have the opportunity to present to other ethnic communities, whilst fully respecting the principles of equality and non-discrimination. The process includes an awareness raising campaign targeting the general public.

Programme/Project objectives

Project involves its primary target group – youth from various ethnic communities in the Republic of Serbia in the process of creating cultural products through its series of workshops. Through workshops, youth will create cultural products reflecting their ethnic identity, they will present themselves to others in the form of introspection. They will also have the opportunity to present their identity packages to the other ethnic communities, whilst fully respecting the principles of equality and non-discrimination. The entire process will be accompanied by an awareness raising campaign at the national and local level targeting the general public.
