Expected results
  1. Older people are more aware of their rights and more capable and confident in highlighting rights abuses and claiming their rights.
  2. 15 CSOs from all parts of Serbia have improved capacity to monitor and promote older people’s access to their rights.
  3. Greater government awareness of older people’s rights and greater government commitment improving services and policies, and to tackling rights abuses.
Beneficiary

All older people (over 60) in Serbia: estimated in 2012 at 2.15m.

Summary of the project

This project is focused on improving the capacity of CSOs and individual elderly persons to advocate for their rights, monitor the delivery of policy commitments, and to increase Government commitment to elderly persons’ human rights. The main activities will include workshops, development of guidelines for support, networking, meetings with local stakeholders and advocacy activities.
