Expected results
  1. Citizens whose personal data are being comprised, have competent and trained advocates who can assist them in asserting their rights
  2. General public is better informed on the personal data protection mechanisms and the role of the Commissioner
  3. Assessment of personal data controllers’ compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law is conducted and presented to the general public
  4. Data controllers are more aware of their personal data protection duties under Serbian law

Direct beneficiaries of the project:

  • 21 representatives of 17 civil society organizations participating at the personal data protection training;
  • At least 115.000 individuals, readers of Politika Daily, are informed about the International Data Protection Day;
  • At least 1200 citizens taking part in street actions in 6 towns and municipalities; 
  • Visitors of web platform on personal data protection;
  • 300 recipients of the Newsletter - pers

Programme/Project objectives

  1. Specialization of CSO representatives to monitor and advocate for appropriate processing of personal data
  2. Increased awareness of general public and personal data controllers in order to contribute to effective implementation of personal data protection standards
