Expected results
  1. Baseline Assessment on corruption and efficiency of Serbian public administration;
  2. Combating corruption round tables held in Valjevo, Šabac, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Zajecar and Nis;
  3. Development, implementation and administration of the interactive on-line platform “I Paid Bribe”;
  4. 5000 promotional anti-corruption leaflets printed;
  5. Six Quarterly Anti-Corruption Newsletters produced.

Employees and citizens in the two local self-government units and one medical institution  subjected to the anti-corruption intervention, citizens, members of vulnerable groups most frequent victims of corruption and medical patients.

Summary of the project

The project works with selected local governments and public institutions to assess their vulnerability to corruption and to improve the procedures identified as most prone to corruption. This is achieved by implementing innovative anti-corruption methodologies, increasing citizens participation in monitoring the work of the public administration, and creating an interactive on-line platform identifying common cases of corruption.

Programme/Project objectives

Overall objective of the project was to increase transparency, openness and accountability of public administration by supporting comprehensive community-based system to fight corruption through active civil society participation and implementation of innovative internationally recognized strategies.
