Roma community, especially Roma women from targeted municipalities in Serbia (Bujanovac, Vranje, Leskovac, Lebane, Prokuplje, Bela Palanka, Aleksinac, Vlasotince, Dimitrovgrad, Babusnica, Pirot and Niš).
This project supports Roma women’s initiatives and helps them advocate for the provision of funds for the improvement of the position of Roma women from local budgets. Roma women’s initiatives are given small grants, as well as practical knowledge about CSO operation. Local Action Plans (LAPs) for the advancement of the position of Roma women are created to help provide a better dialogue between Roma CSOs and local self-governments.
This project aims to enhance Roma women position through their participation in developing solutions and advocating for measures directed to Roma women position implementation within the local budgets. Ten Roma women initiatives’ will be enhanced by awarding 10 small grants. Also, their capacities in technical and practical knowledge about CSO operation will be strengthened. Support to creation of 12 Local Action Plans (LAPs) for advancement of the position of Roma women will be provided in order to create conditions for the improvement of the position of Roma women. Dialogue regarding local budget allocations between Roma CSOs and local self-governments will be improved as well.
